Coldest Night of the Year 2025

What is CNOY?

The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific, family-friendly walk that raises money for charities serving hungry, homeless, and hurting people in our community. On February 22nd, cities across Canada and the United States will be participating in the walk, but the funds raised go right back into the community they were raised in! The funds support YWCA Prince Albert directly, so that we can continue our mission of ending homelessness in the community.

The walk has a few different lengths to choose from, so it’s accommodating for everyone. What are you waiting for? Register here!

If you want to learn more about our event, our community sponsors, and our fundraising goal click here.

Why CNOY?

CNOY focuses on fundraising for the hungry, homeless, and hurting. YWCA Prince Albert helps these vulnerable people in our community, many of them facing addictions, mental health struggles, and ultimately homelessness. Like you and I, they are just people seeking a life with dignity and stability, but have encountered difficulties that resulted in some of the worst times of their lives. We are all humans trying to make our own way.

How can I participate?

There are a variety of ways individuals, groups, families, and organizations can participate to help the cause of helping the hungry, homeless, and hurting. This year our event is hybrid, so you can choose to walk with us or on your own!

Start a team: You can register here to start a team of your own, and work toward your own fundraising goal. We challenge you to find five donors among those you know to help reach your goal!

Donate Directly: Don’t want to walk, but still want to support us? You can donate directly by clicking here. Any donation of $20 or more will receive a charitable tax receipt.

Become an Event Sponsor: Does your organization want to support our event directly by purchasing a sponsorship package? Contact our team directly by emailing us.

Share the Event: Spreading the word about Coldest Night of the Year is probably the simplest way to support us. Tell your family and friends on social media about us and our mission!

What do I get out of participating?

A sense of camaraderie with your team, the warm-fuzzies from helping a great cause, a toque if you pass our fundraising threshold, and a fantastic time. Oh, and our gratitude for being so awesome and helping the community!
