Harmony Home provides supportive housing for youth of all genders from sixteen to twenty-one years of age. Terrance Place provides supportive housing for ages twelve to fifteen. Each residence contains a common area, kitchen, and lounge. On-site laundry facilities, bedding, linens and towels are provided for each resident.
Youth are welcomed to Terrance Place and Harmony Home where they can expect a home environment, group activities, and learning opportunities. Staff work with each youth to plan for the future and assist in dealing with challenges of growing up, going to school, and preparing for adulthood.
When staying at Terrance Place or Harmony Home, youth can expect:
Twenty-Four-hour support staff
Culturally-sensitive programming
LBGTQ2S-sensitive programming
Access to education and learning
Assistance with resumes and employment searches
Youth-specific activities and outings
Action planning and life skills
Crisis intervention
Youth involved with Child and Family Services or youth on the 16/17 program can be referred by their worker for placement at Harmony Home or Terrance Place. Each referral is reviewed and applicants are accepted on a basis of suitability and room availability.
